Lazy cabbage rolls with sauerkraut and chicken
Lazy cabbage rolls with sauerkraut and chicken fillet, baked in the oven in a thick sauce of sour cream and tomato sauce, in my opinion, are even tastier than regular cabbage rolls with fresh cabbage. Once I saw on TV a recipe for cabbage rolls in Hungarian, in which the filling was wrapped in whole leaves of sauerkraut. Since there were no whole pickled cabbages in the bins, I had to improvise, and the result exceeded expectations. In general, I propose one more to the piggy bank of recipes for stuffed cabbage recipes, my family loved it.

The method of preparing lazy cabbage rolls
My chicken fillet, dry, cut into small cubes. Fillet for lazy cabbage rolls can easily be turned into mincemeat without a meat grinder and a blender, just chop it with a hatchet for meat for several minutes, and it will turn into minced meat. If this method seems difficult to you, then pass the meat through a meat grinder (nozzle with large holes).

Chop onions finely, rub the carrots on a coarse vegetable grater. Pour olive oil into a pan, put vegetables, fry over moderate heat for 15 minutes.
First, carefully rinse the sauerkraut with cold water, then pour boiling water, bring to a boil, drain the first water, again pour boiling water, boil for 15-20 minutes.
We wash the rice, pour it into the saucepan, pour a glass of cold water. After boiling, reduce the heat to a minimum, close tightly with a lid, cook for 12 minutes.
For pouring, mix sour cream and tomato puree in a bowl, add ground sweet paprika, salt to taste. Home-made preparations for such a sauce will come in handy; in my recipe, tomato puree with sweet pepper and onion is very tasty!

Cooking stuffing for lazy cabbage rolls. In a large bowl we combine all the prepared ingredients - chopped chicken, boiled rice, fried vegetables, boiled sauerkraut. If the cabbage was chopped coarsely, then I advise you to chop it smaller. Season the minced meat - salt, pepper to your liking, I also suggest adding a pinch of asafoetida. This oriental spice is made from the ferula’s milky smelly juice, it has a pungent, garlic-onion aroma, you need to add it carefully, just a little, because the aroma is unusual, not everyone can like it, because it’s not for nothing that asafoetida is called bloody feces or stinky resin.

Knead the minced meat thoroughly so that the ingredients combine evenly.

With wet hands, we form oval dumplings, put in a greased form with a small distance from each other.

Pour sour cream-tomato filling into the mold, pour the lazy cabbage rolls with olive oil, put in the heated oven.

Cook at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes. Serve lazy cabbage rolls with sauerkraut and chicken fillet on the table hot.

Enjoy your meal!
