Due to the fact that the root system of blueberries is fibrous, they systematically loosen the soil to a shallow depth and add peat or vegetable humus or old sawdust with a layer of 10 cm.If the soil is dry or the summer is hot without rain, the blueberries are abundantly watered by sprinkling. During the flowering period, watering can only be done under the root.

Blueberries are fed 2 times per season.

The first dressing is carried out before flowering: 1 tablespoon of liquid potassium humate, sodium humate and fertilizer with trace elements in 10 l of water; consumption - 10-15 liters of solution per 1 plant.

The second top dressing is done while tying berries: 2 tablespoons of Yagodka fertilizer and 1 tablespoon of Ideal and Nursing fertilizers per 10 liters of water; consumption - 20 liters of solution per bush. The “breadwinner” can be replaced with a nitrophos (also 1 tablespoon per 10 liters of water).

The lack of nutrients in the soil is compensated by foliar top dressing before and after flowering: 1 tablespoon of potassium humate and sodium humate per 10 l of water.

Preventive pruning of blueberries is carried out from the 4-5th year. Dried, broken, diseased branches are removed. Subsequently, old branches are cut that do not give growth and almost do not bear fruit. Rejuvenated by root shoots.
