The valerian familiar to us also has a traditional national name, goatee.

Goatee is really an amazing plant. About a dozen years ago, I was lucky enough to quickly outline the “Canon of medical practice” of the outstanding Tajik Ali ibn Sennoy-Avicenna, published in Samarkand. An ancient doctor writes that the goatee "surprisingly transforms a person, strengthens the brain, heart, controls the thought, makes the feelings softer."

People have long been successfully using this medicine for the following diseases:

Arrhythmias. Take 2 parts of valerian, 3 parts of chamomile, 5 parts of caraway seeds. 2 tbsp pour 0.5 liters of boiling water. Insist one hour, well wrapped. Use half a glass twice a day.

Atherosclerosis. 200 g of fresh valerian root pour 100 g of alcohol, insist in a dark vessel and in the dark for three weeks. Add 100 ml of 20% propolis tincture. Take 30 drops three times a day.

Headaches. Valerian root is poured with 300 ml of boiling water. Insist on a wrapped hour. Consume 50-100 ml three to four times a day, regardless of meals.

Painful periods. They take blackberries, birch leaves, peppermint, yarrow, valerian root - equally. 1 tbsp. l 300 ml of boiling water. This is the daily allowance.

Lichen. 1 hour tincture of valerian, 1 hour 5% iodine and the same amount of sunflower unrefined oil. Smear thrice a day. Two weeks.

Treatment and purification of blood vessels. Take two tbsp. valerian and 1 tbsp. dill seeds, two glasses of honey. Pour 1 liter of boiling water. Insist a day. Add to 2 liters of boiled water. Consume in 30 minutes. before meals under art. thrice a day.

Valerian root is an excellent remedy for mental and physical fatigue, insomnia, feelings of anxiety, hysteria, irritability attacks, as a lowering pressure, suppressing heart pain. Inhaling it for two months for the better changes the composition of the blood. However, its flowers, on the contrary, act excitingly, even old people evoke fine thoughts.
